Thank you for this effort!! I was previously concerned about the referendum, and was planning on voting no - but this information has galvanized my opinion. Now that I have a concrete source, I will now be raising this issue in every conversation I have with local residents.

And they wonder why we asked how they were going to pay back $8,500,000 bond issue on less than $100 per $10,000 tax. Enough with the creative financing. In my job we do things the old fashioned way, the annual budget is determined and then they decide how much is available for raises.

The data show that last year, the Board approved a virtual across-the-board 7% raise, more than twice CPI, while District 38 slipped into deficit. Can anyone defend that simple set of facts?
